I thought I understood the hype surrounding her liquid lippies, but boy was I mistaken. After underestimating the sheer level of chaos that ensues when Kylie launches a new product, I was left sitting in a holding zone and then staring sadly at a "sold out" screen the first two times I tried to order.

On my third and final attempt, I had my game face on. I was going to get that liquid lipstick. I did some stretching. I practiced my lightning-fast clicking skills. I've hired a team of amazing contributors, commissioned a graphic designer to make it all look pretty, and managed this new website every step of the way.

I love Sparkle & Mine with all my heart, and plan to continue posting my own articles and other randomness. However, I am so excited for this new opportunity to expand my horizons and share beauty insight from a community of knowledgeable, diverse women. The Beauty Bar will publish new content every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. For those of you who don't know, MAC is a brand of professional-quality cosmetics known for its insanely huge selection of colors. Unfortunately, with all that awesomeness comes some pretty high prices as well. Although there are some MAC products that cannot be duplicated and are worth the splurge, I've found tons of great drugstore alternatives to others!
